Make sure to wish all daddy's a Happy Father's Day today. I wanted to just post something real quick while I was thinking about it. We have all heard about the dilemma of eating on holidays. Father's Day is not one of the big ones we worry about, but I just so happen to be going to my hubby's grandparent's house today for a cookout. His grandma always makes sweets and I used to pig out on them so she makes a bunch for everyone and hands me a plate without even asking. Here are my pointers for today...#1: If you have someone who does this to you on holidays, make it a point to tell them ahead of time that you are on a diet. Ask them when they make the sweets to not even offer them to you. It may even be a good idea if you have a good enough relationship with this person to ask them to kindly remind you of your diet goals if they see you going in for some sweet delight;) #2: Don't tell yourself that it is a holiday and it's only one day you allow yourself to have whatever you want. This leads to telling yourself that more often than you should and makes it harder to stay on your diet in the long run. Instead, tell yourself that the gift your giving yourself on these holidays is the weight loss you will eventually achieve! Good luck. Keep me posted on your progress too. I have added a pic to this post of my hubby, my boys and myself since it is Father's Day. ~Samantha
P.S. I would just like to remind everyone that these posts are offering opinions and suggestions from my sister and myself only. We do not have degrees and you should consult a physician or dietitian while dieting:)
Good point Samantha, not medical advise, just personal opinions. Nice family. Good to see pictures.
